Dwell's stylists aren't sales people. They're seasoned decorators who've graduated from our own Stylist University and know scale, color theory, balance, and the latest design trends. You'll leave your session knowing exactly what your space needs to make it perfectly YOU. If you find those pieces at Dwell, awesome. If you don't, you'll know what to shop for somewhere else. Our stylist's job is to make the ultimate room, not the ultimate sale.

Founder and Chief Design Officer

My passion (read: obsession) for reimagining spaces began at the age of six. Growing up in tiny apartments with my single mom, I’d "design" our abodes using old bed sheets as curtains and shoe box lids as unique (and weird) artwork.  After a long career as an arts educator and Assistant Principal while graduating from a masters program in Business Management, I started Dwell Home Staging in 2014, honing my skills with certifications in home staging and design. What began in my mildewed garage has since grown into a multi-million-dollar company with a large truck fleet, a massive warehouse, and over 100 homes staged at any given time.  This growth is thanks to a dedicated team—most importantly our CEO Jeff Kale and the Kale family, who I was honored to partner with in 2017. Together, we expanded Dwell to include a design division in 2017 and launched our retail stores in 2020 and 2022.

In my entrepreneurial career I’ve been grateful for opportunities to speak about staging and design on national stages, been featured in numerous publications and, along with our team, been the recipient of over 25 national staging and design awards.  But I’m most proud to help our amazing clients find potential in their homes and help our devoted team find potential in themselves.  Dwell and Company’s journey is bigger and better than anything I could have dreamt up alone, and that’s due to the remarkable people we serve and those who serve alongside us.

When not at Dwell, you’ll find me traveling with my husband and our beautiful young son, who was a welcome surprise and the best gift we’ve ever been given.  I’ve also been known to enjoy a brain-cell depleting reality tv show or two… but let’s keep that between us.

Jeff Kale

Chief Executive Officer

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Finance in 2013, my family convinced (tricked?) me into joining the family furniture business.  I knew I didn’t want to go work for a bank or in corporate America, so I figured working with family would be a great way to learn about running a business and entrepreneurship.

After graduating, I started as a delivery driver at Happy’s Rent to Own and worked my way up in the business, eventually working as the Director of Operations. Through this time my partners and I opened 11 new stores and got a lot of experience in furniture, customer service, and management.  I learned many lessons (the hard way) about what it takes to build a business and a successful culture.

After partnering with Kristy and Dwell Home Staging in 2017, I was able to move full time into Dwell in January 2020 as we prepared to open our first retail location. We had a vision of creating a unique furniture shopping experience and, thankfully, had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. It has been an enormous amount of work, but the Dwell and Company journey has been immensely fulfilling for me. I enjoy coming into Dwell each day to work with an extraordinary team while taking on the challenge of creating a business that is truly one of a kind.  Nothing is more motivating than seeing the growth of each individual team member and knowing that if we keep working hard, the opportunities will only get better for all of us.

When not at Dwell you’ll find me adventuring somewhere in the world with my wife, trying to figure out a workable golf swing, or spending time with family and friends.

Wendy Weathers

Buyer and Lead Stylist

As Dwell and Company’s Buyer/Lead Stylist, I am immersed in beautiful products every day.  I source amazing furniture and decor from all over the world, and work with our talented team to design and develop new pieces for our Dwell-exclusive furniture lines.  I also work with our amazing customers on special design projects in their homes.

 I owned a women's clothing store for over twenty years here in South Tampa. There are so many similarities between fashion and design. Following trends and bringing them to our customers at a reasonable price is so rewarding for me. Then being able to take these pieces and design people's spaces with them is an amazing feeling!

Unrelated but fun fact - I'm such a Jimmy Buffett fan I named my cat Jimmy!

Lindsey Zobel

Stylist

My role at Dwell ranges anywhere from interior stylist, to floor planner extraordinaire, to all things merchandising.

‍

With 16 years of experience in the retail industry I have learned to curate stylish, functional spaces that resonate with diverse customer tastes. I have a passion for transforming homes into inviting environments and love creating lasting customer relationships. 

‍

Some funnn facts about me....I believe a glass of wine is good but two is better, one of my biggest pet peeves is seeing my name spelled wrong, and I'm in my boy mom era so I get to say things like, "Can we not hide the chocolate chips in the couch!" and " Please don't headbutt the cat!" on a daily basis.

Jeff “Roth” Rothenburg

Operations Manager

My role at Dwell is all things Operations! As the Operations Manager I make sure our teams have the resources and knowledge they need to provide the best customer experience locally and nationally. You can find me at one of our two locations creating memorable experiences!

Prior to Dwell I spent 10 years in the Hospitality Industry managing restaurants and hotels in Tampa, Orlando, and Los Angeles. I also had the opportunity to manage food and beverage across USC's campus and help shape the college gameday experience!

Fun fact - I’m the go-to craft cocktail bartender!

Tucker Heaton

Assistant Buyer

As the Assistant Buyer, I work with the buying, product development, and logistic teams ensuring our great furniture is produced, ordered, and arrives timely and safely.  I also assist customers finding the perfect pieces for their homes.

I originally started in the warehouse at Dwell and quickly learned the inventory. I then moved to the sales floor and began to learn what customers were looking for. Having knowledge of both areas prepared me to take on a new role as a buyer.

Unrelated but VERY fun fact: I ate two whole pizzas once.

Ginny Kale

Human Resource Director

My role involves the recruiting, hiring, and professional development of new and current Dwell and Company team members.  I love helping build our Dwell family!

‍

Being an educator for 39 years taught me to always embrace learning and prioritize building relationships. Helping our amazing team members identify areas for personal growth and see them really tap into their potential has been such a wonderful opportunity. I truly love coming to work each and every day. My time at Apple reinforced my love for technology and defined great customer service. What fun it is to find that innovative way to complete daily tasks and help customers create that beautiful space they previously only dreamt about.

Fun fact: I still want to be an artist. Something about creating, the use of color, thinking about how each brush stroke communicates thoughts, hopes, and dreams makes me smile inside.

Madalyn South

Brand Director

My role at Dwell and Company is all things digital marketing! As the Brand Director I manage the social media accounts for all of Dwell and Company, our digital advertising, and community relationships. You can also find me on the floor helping clients create spaces they adore! Follow us on instagram for lots of beautiful furniture and fun content.

Prior to Dwell I graduated with a degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics and Sociology. I freelanced as a social media manager which led me to a start up dating app called Gleam. At Gleam I had the opportunity to apply what I had learned in school about marketing and perfect my social media management style and strategies.
